Pradhan Mantri Matsya Samapada Yojana (PMMSY)

Foreseeing the immense potential for development of fisheries and for providing focused attention to the sector, the Government of India in May, 2020 approved the “Pradhan Mantri Matsya Samapada Yojana”  (PMMSY) as a new scheme. During 2021-22, the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying has released an amount of 1514.13 Lakhs to construct new freshwater fin fish hatchery, backyard ornament fish rearing unit, new rearing ponds grow out ponds, to provide input support from fresh water aquaculture including composite fish culture and integrated fish farming and to stock fingerlings in reservoirs.
